What is Okanagan Recreation Center (ORC)?
ORC is a private outdoor activity park in the Kelowna / Myra Canyon area offering camping, Frisbee golf, RC off-road track, a drone course, hiking areas, and a developing EV test track. We’re building a safe, low-impact place to explore and play in the Okanagan.
Where are you located?
We’re near Myra Canyon in Kelowna, BC. Directions and the exact meetup point are provided after booking. If you’re exploring the site, start at the Booking page for the latest access notes.
What are your hours?
Day-use hours typically run during daylight. Camping check-in/out times are shown during booking. Seasonal/weather changes can apply—please check the Booking page on the day you visit.
Day Passes & Booking
Do I need a day pass?
Yes—day passes are required for day-use activities (Frisbee golf, RC, drone course, EV track access, hiking). Get yours on the Booking page.
How much is a day pass?
Day passes are currently $25 + tax per person (subject to change). The total is shown at checkout before payment.
How do I pay?
We accept online payment during checkout (PayPal/major cards). You’ll receive a confirmation code by email—bring it when you arrive.
Can I book multiple people or a group?
Yes. Add the total number of guests during checkout. For larger groups, clubs, or cadet bookings, contact us via the Booking page and we’ll help coordinate.
What’s your refund or weather policy?
Weather can shift quickly in the Okanagan. If we must close for safety, we’ll offer a reschedule or credit. For guest-initiated changes, please see the options shown in your booking confirmation.
Camping
How do I reserve a campsite?
Choose your dates and site on the Booking page. Sites that don’t meet your group size will be greyed-out where possible to make selection easier.
How many people can each site accommodate?
Capacity varies by site and is shown during selection. If your group is larger than a single site’s limit, please reserve multiple sites or contact us for options.
Are campfires allowed?
Campfires are subject to regional fire bans and on-site conditions. Where fires are not permitted, camp stoves with proper precautions may be allowed. Always follow posted guidance at check-in.
Do you have power or EV charging at campsites?
There’s currently no grid power or on-site EV charging. Bring charged batteries/power banks. We’re exploring future power additions and will update this page as that changes.
Activities
Frisbee golf – do I need my own discs?
Bringing your own discs is recommended. Check the Frisbee Golf page for layout and tips.
RC off-road track – what vehicles are allowed?
Most 1/10 and 1/8 off-road rigs are welcome. Drive courteously and keep speeds safe when others are on track. See the RC Course page for updates and etiquette.
Drone course – are there special rules?
Fly only in designated areas, keep line-of-sight, and respect other guests. You’re responsible for following all applicable laws and site rules. See Drone Course for details.
EV track – can I test my vehicle?
We’re developing an EV test area for low-speed demos and handling practice. It’s not a racing facility. Follow staff direction at all times; check EV Track for current status.
Safety, Pets & Facilities
Is safety gear required?
Closed-toe shoes are recommended for all activities. Helmets and eye protection are strongly encouraged where relevant (RC/drone pits, EV area). Follow posted signs and staff instructions.
Are pets allowed?
Leashed pets are welcome unless posted otherwise. Please clean up after your pet and keep them clear of activity zones.
Do you have restrooms and water?
Basic facilities are provided. Potable water may be limited—bring drinking water, and pack out what you pack in.
Getting Here & Conditions
What’s the road like? Is parking available?
Access roads can be rough; drive carefully and obey signage. Parking is available near activity areas—follow posted directions on arrival.
Is there cell service?
Cell coverage can be spotty depending on carrier. Download directions/QR codes before you leave town and coordinate your group ahead of time.
Can I host an event or group day?
Yes! We welcome clubs, schools, and team-building days. Get in touch via the Booking page with your dates, headcount, and activity needs.
